Stock number 3437. Marked on rear ‘65 Napoleon. W S & Co.’ The South Stockton Pottery was in Stockton on Tees. the plate has in addition to the printed mark above an impressed mark ‘W S & Co. Wedgewood‘ Wedgwood applied for an injuction about 1845 to stop them using this mark. The central picture shows Napoleon and pyramids.The plate has lost the gilding on the rims and has a minor chip on the innner rim at the rear. Price £55
